Gabby Engala
Drumer
Gabby Engala is an American drummer from Tampa, Florida. Their style is modern and energetic. With some of their main influences being Matt Garstka(Animals as Leaders), Matt Halpern(Periphery), Jose Pasillas(Incubus), and Arthur Hnatek, their knowledge for progressive rock/metal is well rooted. They are most known for their work with The Gray Suns.

The first day Samantha moved to Florida from Virginia at the age of 4, she went to her uncles house. at her uncles house she saw this old keyboard and her uncle gave it to her and that is where it all started. sam started writing lyrics at the age of 11 years old and has been writing since then. throughout middle school and high school sam was in orchestra, jazz band, chorus, and marching band that one year (we don’t like to talk about that time of sams life, that was a learning experience that year) anyways. samantha loves long walks on the beach, and riding off into the sunset.

"I’m an Indigenous musician from Norwich, Connecticut. All of my life I’ve wanted to make music because of how it has touched me and what I’ve seen it do to other people.
From playing cold winters in parks, All County Orchestra (viola), All County Guitar, Jazz Band, and more to playing bass in a garage band has been the coolest transition for me. My biggest music influences stem from Gustavo Santaolalla, SIAMÉS, Twenty One Pilots, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy and Billie Eilish. I also love video game soundtracks (as nerdy as that sounds there are a lot of good ones!) I’ve gone out of my way a lot in my life to perform or contribute to the arts. A good example is when I was couch hopping in high school I directed a play (Lunacy: a Bathroom Trilogy) and it was such a stressful but fun experience. There’s so much fun to be had with the performing arts and I can’t wait to see what we can do with that in The Gray Suns!" - Silver
Sydney Reinfrank
Guitarist
Sydney had grown up around music all her life. Her dad had been in a band, and she wanted to do the same. She started out playing piano around the age of 8 but eventually gravitated towards the guitar. Sydney will always be thankful for learning the piano, but the guitar will always feel like home. Her influences derive from old classics like Jimi Hendrix, Jack White, and the Beatles but she also pulls influence from emerging indie and alternative bands such as Tash Sultana, Yonaka, and Bully.
Emily Taylor Sheehan
Band Manager
Emily has been engaged with the arts all her life, and loves to be surrounded with music. She is currently studying to be an audio engineer and hopes to one day tour with a rock band. In her spare time Emily enjoys photography and painting. Emily began working with the suns in august 2021 and looks forward to seeing them grow! Emily would love to hear from you about booking the band.
